This candle stand links the cycles of plants, which sprout from the soil, grow, then wither and return to the soil, and of casting, which melts at high temperatures and changes its shape and use. It uses recycled aluminum from reused aluminum cans, and uses fallen branches as the prototype, likening it to the cycle of reincarnation in nature. The exquisitely deformed appearance born out of a mix of planning and chance, as the wooden surface of the prototype is combined with the sand surface of the sand mold, gives each piece its own unique character, even though they all have the same shape. The changes that occur over time, which are unique to metal, with continued use can also be enjoyed as part of the scenery.
